White&Black

I was inspired by the version of "My Favorite Things" (Black Rage) by Lauryn Hill.

Human confusion is found in all of each person
Shootings and lootings and accusations that worsen
White human authority abusing power
Black human confusion can come at any hour
Large gold badge, and a gun by their pocket,
Their power is everywhere and no one can stop it
White confusion is found in all of each person

When the black hurts
And the white cries
When I'm feeling confused
I simply remember all these kinds of things
And then I still fear the world and what it will bring

White confusion is found in the ones who seek equality
Misunderstandings and stories while we watch and watch
Historical background
This people and their family
Black love was founded on these kinds of things

“Black rage is founded on draining and draining
Threatening your freedom
To stop your complaining
Poisoning your water
While they say it's raining
Then call you mad
For complaining, complaining
Old time bureaucracy
Drugging the youth
Black rage is founded on blocking the truth
Murder and crime
Compromise and distortion
Sacrifice, sacrifice
Who makes this fortune?
Greed, falsely called progress
Such human contortion
Black rage is founded on these kinds of things”

When the black hurts
And the white cries
When I'm feeling confused
I simply remember all these kinds of things
And then I still fear the world and what it will bring

Free people, Is this America or not?
2015 but we’re still back in the same damn spot
Black men that are free
But still end up shot
Black rage is founded on these kinds of things
Violence surrounds
Both black and the white
Life in our country just isn’t right
Authority, authority
These people of power
They act as if they live life in a tower
White men crying too
Tired of accusations
Convinced we’re all racist
In such a violent Nation
You leaved me confused
Black rage is founded in the things that we do

So When the black hurts
And the white cries
When I'm feeling confused
I simply remember all these kinds of things
And then I still fear the world and what it will bring
