MOS DEF Mathematics- Mathematics talks about the problems in Black America we care to much about material possessions instead of bettering ourselves but we also are put into a system which is designed for us to fail we are put into abject poverty which is now being gentrified so as time goes on we will see more african americans on the street.
Nas I can- In this song Nas speaks about the terrible the drug in issue in black america as well as our incentive to yearn for lives of smoking pot and fawning of overpriced jewelry. I really like this especially the Most Def interpretation. I believe that he is say that we are caught up on things that really don't matter. Material that can be taken away the same way it was given to you.
