The song, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" is extremely powerful. It shows her range as a vocal artist and a lyricist. The lyrics are extremely powerful as they speak to a young audience. The song is about growing up and understanding what it means to be an individual. Hill tells her own story of becoming an individual artist. The song's structure is quite simple therefore allowing Hill to demonstrate her strong vocal control with a riff that is repeated in both verses of the song along with a few others.
The video attached has extremely poor quality and is only 40 seconds of a performance of "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill". However, I thought it showed her vocal skill as a live performer.
