Love Yourz- J. Cole

This song stood out to me because I think everyone regardless of race can relate to its message. J. Cole says" I think being broke was better", meaning even though he is making a lot of money now, it doesn't coincide with happiness and create a happy stress-free life. He thought as a kid, if you can get rich, your life will magically become better. It kind of relates to the phrase "mo money mo problems." Stress and responsibility still exists in his life, and social issues are still around. J. Cole encourages everyone to love the life you have and find happiness in it, because there is always someone worst off then you are. In his position, there is always a fancier watch, or more expensive car he could chase after. The moral of the story is money does not buy happiness; happiness is a choice.
