Here Lupe Fiasco brings up the difficult topic of the breeding of Child Soldiers in Africa. Although the video displayed is not actually his but from a movie called Blood Diamonds I think it perfectly displays the tone that Lupe had envisioned for his song. The beat is serious, somber, and battle like which perfectly matches the tone of the topic of Child Soldiers. In this song Lupe mostly focusses on the youth and innocence of these children and I think the pairing of it with along with this movie that shows these young boys quivering,  and reluctant to kill is a great mix. When Lupe says "Cute, smileless, heartless, violent, Childhood destroyed of all childish ways, Can't write their names or read the words on their own graves" I think it really sums up not just his argument on the topic, but the topic of itself as these children are innocent and have been deprived of their learning and childhood. The topics and killings Lupe talks about are graphic, but are in fact real andHis ability to paint a picture really brings interest to a prominent problem in the world.

  1. I like this video, because of how the visuals supplement the meaning in the lyrics by Lupe. You can feel the emotion that drives the movie and song.
